Sa Ratta means “steep climb” in Sardinian dialect. Three adventurers, each with their own unique bond to the outdoors, took on the Sa Ratta challenge: 200 km with 2000 hm by bike, chasing perfect waves along the iconic Mediterranean coastline. To document the journey, Surfsuit’s team followed Virginia Cancellieri, Edoardo Papa and Nick Pescetto for 7 days straight. Through rain and sunshine, across waves and brutal climbs, from tent nights to slow moments soaked in local culture.
Sa Ratta is an ambitious project that combines bikepacking and surfing along the west coast of Sardinia. A Surfsuit production supported by Assos of Switzerland, Ortlieb, Maama and Basso Bikes.
A communication project handled from A to Z. An idea pitched to Assos — the main partner — became the campaign for its new gravel collection “Tactita”. The project was introduced on social media through a dedicated Instagram profile, which reached 1,000 followers and 250K organic views in just three months. The 30-minute documentary was released on Assos’ YouTube channel and will be screened at outdoor film festivals in summer 2025.
