To capture the essence of Bear Surfboards' SS24 collection, we flew to Morocco. Alongside the photo shoot, we created a captivating surf documentary.
Photo & Video Production
15 days Road Trip in Morocco: From the ocean to the mountains, passing through historical cities. The North African landscapes and vibes seamlessly complemented the essence of the brand's collection. The casting of models and surfers blended perfectly with the brand's modern explorer theme. The challenge involved capturing 30 outfit shots and producing a documentary-style surf movie.
As opposed to the previous campaign in Cantabria, this time surfers and models assume a supporting role, seamlessly blending into the cultural symbolism and captivating aesthetics of Moroccan history. The leading roles of the storytelling are local characters identified after extensive research: Youssef, "the major" of Imsouane, Azhar, an artist and thinker, and Brahim, a young entrepreneur. Their lives unfold to the rhythm of the waves. Surf tourism has allowed Youssef, Azhar, and Brahim to generate employment opportunities and make a positive impact on society.
The shots from the collection's photo production will be showcased in all the Cisalfa stores across Italy. A report on the video and production adventure with Bear will be published in AQVA Magazine. In the summer of 2024, the documentary detailing the impact (both positive and negative) of surf tourism in Morocco will be released on YouTube.
